Bad Weather in Kolaka Waters, Kendari Basarnas Standby 24 Hours

Basarnas Kendari siaga 24 jam, di tiap pos – pos SAR yang ada di wilayah Sulawesi Tenggara (Sultra) dan sejumlah daerah lainnya.

Basarnas Kendari is on standby 24 hours, at each SAR post in the Southeast Sulawesi (Southeast Sulawesi) region and a number of other regions.

Hal ini dilakukan melihat cuaca buruk melanda sejumlah perairan di wilayah ini, seperti, Kendari, Wakatobi, Baubau, Kolaka (Sultra) dan Soroako, Luwu Timur, Sulawesi Selatan (Sulsel).

“Kami melakukan pemantauan di tiap tempat. Anggota yang sedang melaksanakan siaga masing – masing satu tim dengan jumlah bervariasi, antara 7 sampai 9 orang,”ungkapnya kepada media ini.

Diimbau kepada warga khusus nelayan, lanjut dia, sebelum melakukan kegiatan di laut agar memperhatikan kondisi cuaca.

Cuaca ekstrim berupa angin kencang dan gelombang tinggi terlihat menghantam sepanjang bibir pantai Kolaka sehingga membuat air laut meluap ke jalan raya.

Tak hanya itu, kondisi cuaca buruk yang tidak menentu seperti saat ini membuat para nelayan di kabupaten Kolaka memilih istirahat untuk melaut. Mereka memilih tinggal di rumah karena takut.

Salah seorang nelayan asal Kolaka, Mursalin mengatakan, cuaca buruk yang terjadi sejak beberapa hari terakhir memaksa dirinya untuk beristirahat melaut.

One fisherman from Kolaka, Mursalin said, bad weather that occurred since the last few days forced him to rest at sea.

“Cuaca saat ini tidak dapat diprediksi, sebab ombak tinggi dan angin kencang seketika,”papar Mursalin kepada tegas.co.

Pantauan media ini, akibat cuaca buruk, sejumlah perahu nelayan yang berlabuh di bibir pantai tenggelam saat dihantam ombak.
